Performance with two drag queens, silicone tail, tattoo, augmented reality camera.

Siren is a ritual performance that tells the story of an escaped relationship rendered mythological, in two parallel tales: a sailor seeking a dangerous salmon-mermaid lover and a goldfish adapting to a safe new home.

 

Dressed as mermaids with a shared tail, Celeste tattoos Odette before an audience to live sound by Spacey Lacey.  An augmented reality camera, trained on the performers, searches for the image of the tattoo. When Celeste completes it, the camera recognizes its image and a story comes pouring out.
